Becoming A Client
The relationship we have with our clients is the cornerstone of the service we provide. For this reason, we believe that it is important that we ensure we are a good fit for each other. We recommend that you meet with one of our financial advisors in person to discuss your goals and preferences. We follow a formal process when interviewing new clients, which begins with documenting your goals and investment preferences.
The first meeting tends to take about an hour. Following the initial interview and a thorough analysis of your existing portfolio, present situation, past experience and future goals, a customized solution to your investment needs can be discussed. Only after we have had a chance to discuss our recommendations with you will we open your account.
When coming in to meet with an advisor, we recommend that you bring your most recent statements of investments you hold at other dealers or institutions. This will help us to ensure that we have a full understanding of your present financial situation and investment needs. A copy of your statement is also required should you decide to transfer any of your existing investments to our firm.
Other documentation you will need to bring with you is a copy of your driver’s license, your social insurance number, your employment information, and your banking information.
